A successful debut. On Saturday, June 6, the Saint-Barth station of the National Society for Sea Rescue (SNSM) hosted its barbecue on Public Beach. The event drew a large crowd. The SNSM would like to thank all the island’s residents for participating in its first lifeguard barbecue. “This friendly gathering brought together supporters, volunteers, and visitors around our new station,” the team said. Proceeds from the event will help fund the maintenance of our rescue boat, which is essential to carrying out our missions at sea.
Given this success, the SNSM confirms that plans are already in place for another event next year. “In the meantime, we invite you to join us for Lifeguards’ Day on June 27 at the harbor master’s office pier,” the volunteers note.
The station’s new president, Côme Leduc, adds: “Finally, this event would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors and the Collectivité de Saint-Barthélemy. We warmly thank them for their assistance and generous support.” ” He goes on to name the following sponsors: Foodland, Tom Food, Le Journal de Saint-Barth, Beenest, Hugues Marine, La Petite Colombe, Oak, La Cave Du Port Franc, Marché U, Oasis, Carambole, Sunlight, Segeco, École de Colombier, K-Island, G.
