Enrollment at the Gustavia School District

The Local Authority is informing families that the application period for school enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year has begun.
These registrations apply to:
- Children born in 2023 who will be entering the Petite Section;
- All new enrollments within the Gustavia School District (preschool and elementary school).
Enrollment will take place until Friday, March 20.
Applications should preferably be submitted by email to the following address: sde@comstbarth.fr or dropped off directly at the office.


List of required documents:

  • 1 recent passport-sized photo of the child;
  • A complete copy of the child’s birth certificate;
  • Valid identification documents for the father and mother;
  • Valid identification for the child;
  • Health record (vaccination pages);
  • Proof of address dated within the last 3 months (electricity bill, SAUR bill, or landline phone bill; rental lease + the last 3 rent receipts) or Certificate of Residence from the Port of Gustavia.

Information to include when sending by email:
- Phone numbers, email addresses, and occupations of the legal guardians (father and mother), as well as the parents’ marital status (married, cohabiting, in a civil partnership, separated, etc.)
- The first and last name and phone number of a trusted contact residing in Saint-Barthélemy, to be contacted if the parents cannot be reached.
- You will be asked to provide your exact home address, house number, and address supplement using the Collectivité’s new addressing system, which you can find on the government website adresse.data.gouv.fr.

Service hours: Mornings: Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 11:45 AM and afternoons: Monday from 1:45 PM to 4:45 PM
