Seven young sailors from the SBYC sailing school took part in the Coupe Nationale de Printemps (CIP) in Martigues (April 11 to 17). No fewer than 279 young sailors took to the waters of the Etang de Berre, aboard their Optimist. Nathanaël Basset, Léo Favreau and Stanley Haes competed in the Benjamin category, and Tao Carmona Bouvrais, Thomas Magras, Lourenço Rolo Couto Jorge and Lewis Maxor in the Minimes category.
After 7 races, Thomas Magras was 22nd out of 87 competitors in the D1 Minimes, Tao Carmona Bouvrais 34th and Lourenço Rolo Couto Jorge 46th. And of the 102 young sailors entered in the D2 minimes, Lewis Maxor came in 46th. In the Benjamins category, after 6 races Stanley Haes came 4th (he eventually took third place), Nathanaël Basset 38th, and Léo Favreau 43rd.
