Saint-Barth - Agnès Combin directrice groupe scolaire Gustavia

A new headmistress for the Gustavia school group

For the past 25 years, Agnès Combin has worked as a teacher and then headmistress at the Paul-Cézanne public school in Saint-Cyr, Ardèche. On July 1, she packed her bags and took off for a new destination, Saint-Barthélemy, and a new position, headmistress of the Gustavia school group. A discovery she was eager to make. Or rather, her wish. Because she only had one wish. When I saw the job description, something just clicked," says Agnès Combin with a smile. In February, I knew I'd been accepted here (in Saint-Barth, editor's note). All I'd asked for was the job, and I couldn't wait to get here. "
Over the past few weeks, the manager has taken the time to familiarize herself with her new environment, and also to get to know her colleagues. "Apparently, I'm the only one who's just started," she says with some amusement, referring to the fact that the teaching team is not only complete, but also the same as last year. "That helps," assures Agnès Combin, who makes no secret of her pleasure at being able to rely on her "two wonderful secretaries", Naïma and Sidonie. "The environment is very favourable", says the director with satisfaction.
Last year, the position was held by Charline Lefort. She left at the end of the school year to join another school in Saint-Martin. As a result, Agnès Combin will have the pleasure of welcoming pupils and their parents from next Monday, September 2, the first day of a week-long 2024/2025 school year. Over 400 pupils are expected to attend Gustavia's nursery and primary school classes.
