Mini School: a fund to finance an educational trip to Sweden

The Journal de Saint-Barth has already reported on the educational project being developed by the Friends of the Mini School association. Specifically, the project involves organizing a trip to Sweden before the end of the school year. All students (aged 11 to 14) will participate in the trip, of course. However, in order to make this trip happen, the school needs to raise money to pay for plane tickets, accommodation, visits, etc. The idea behind the trip is to immerse the students in Swedish history in Stockholm, but also to discover the small coastal town twinned with Saint Barthélemy: Pitéå.
Since the start of the school year, the students, principal Emmanuelle Astier, and parents have been regularly running a stall selling cotton candy and handmade jewelry at various events (markets, Pitéå Day, etc.) to raise funds. However, the cost of the project is high, estimated at around €45,000. As a result, an online fundraiser has been launched to attract generous donors. "Thanks to your support, this project can become a reality," insists Emmanuelle Astier. "Every contribution, no matter how small, is precious to us. A donation receipt can be provided."
The Mini School is not going it alone in this project. It is supported by the Saint-Barth Association of Friends of Sweden (Asbas). The idea of combining the students' trip with that of the Chorale des Bons Chœurs choir, which is due to visit Sweden next June, is under consideration. This would give the educational trip a whole new dimension. Nevertheless, for the time being, the Mini School is appealing to generous souls. A fund has been set up on the website "Tribee.fr." It is entitled " Support our school trip to Sweden." The illustration accompanying this article features a QR code that provides direct access to the donation page.
