Pink October: Events Throughout the Month

As it does every year, the annual global awareness campaign dedicated to promoting breast cancer screening and raising funds for medical research kicks off in early October. In Saint Barthélemy, several events will mark the occasion.
As the main organizer of Pink October on the island in 2025, the Ouanala’hospital association will have a booth on Saturday, October 10, at the entrance to Super U in Saint-Jean. For hospital staff who are members of the association, the goal will be to raise funds by selling accessories and, of course, the famous pink ribbons that symbolize the event.
On the same day, as well as the day before—Friday, October 9—Karribean Beach Tennis is organizing a youth tournament and an official mixed adult tournament (BT500), with a portion of the proceeds (15 euros per registration) going toward breast cancer research.
On Sunday, October 11, the Territorial Union of Firefighters and the Saint-Barth Handisport association will organize a fitness course at the Saint-Jean fire station.
While a walk might be organized on October 17, it has not yet been confirmed. However, on October 19—World Breast Cancer Day—an event is scheduled at the Irénée de Bruyn Hospital. In the late afternoon, at an information booth, midwives will welcome visitors (both women and men), and self-examination kits will be distributed.
Finally, on October 26, the Saint-Barth Triathlon will host its event, titled “A l’australienne,” as part of Pink October.
