The first round of "regional meetings" requested by the president of the Collectivité, Xavier Lédée, took place on Monday, November 13, 2025, focusing on the broad themes of tourism and attractiveness. This Tuesday, February 3, at 5:30 p.m. at the Collectivité hotel, a new meeting is being offered to the public and professionals concerned with the topics discussed: security and mobility.
"Personal safety and emergency management rely on risk prevention, coordination between stakeholders, and rapid response capabilities to ensure the protection of both residents and visitors," states the presentation document distributed by the local government, which also notes: "Mobility, through traffic, parking, and road sharing, directly influences accessibility and quality of life."
As with the initial meetings on November 13, 2025, the local authority has assured that the meeting will be punctuated by "open discussion." No specific agenda has been set. Representatives from the gendarmerie, the local police, and the local fire and rescue service are expected to attend, as are "institutional partners," according to the local government, "and road users" such as taxi and transport companies.
The Collectivité's culture and communication department specifies that it is "planned that all contributions will be consolidated at the end of the process in a white paper-type summary document" which will "formalize the main recommendations and proposals resulting from the exchanges, debate, and contributions of the population and elected officials."
