Saint-Barth Fishing Tournament: After the “Bimini,” a Night of Trolling and Bottom Fishing

The race is on. At 6 a.m. this Friday morning, the “Bimini start” signaled the start for eleven crews. The sailors from the teams named O’Top Sea II, Three Little Bird, Marsoukilla, Painkiller, Adrenaline, Fancy, All Waves, Outsider, No Time, Tahla’O, and Martina are expected to arrive by 6:30 p.m. at the latest at the Wall House pier in La Pointe.

The fishing competition will continue almost immediately afterward with an “open” start at midnight for the trolling and bottom fishing contests. The competing boats will return starting at noon and no later than 5 p.m. And the organizers from the Fisheries and Aquaculture Committee remind everyone: “The goal is to catch fish, not to empty your cooler before 9:00 a.m.!”

Meanwhile, starting at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning, a belote tournament will be held on the plaza in front of the Wall House (on-site registration for eight euros).

The awards ceremony will take place at 8 p.m.

From 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., the band New Creation will perform on stage. DJ El Coch will take over until 1 a.m.
