Across the various areas of the Gouverneur educational farm, little legs are scurrying about and minds are racing. Not many of the participants in the treasure hunt—conceived and organized by the members of the Youth Territorial Council’s culture committee—have made it to the final stage of the quest. Yet, on this Saturday, April 18, it is indeed the treasure they are meant to discover. “But Mom, I can’t find it,” complains a child after a good half-hour of frantic searching. Her face a bit flushed, she nevertheless sets off again in search of the Holy Grail. At the same moment, another child runs up. In her hands, one of the five small signs marked with a treasure and hidden throughout the vast grounds of the educational farm.
For five weeks, the Journal de Saint-Barth slipped keywords into its columns, which budding treasure hunters used to piece together sentences, discover locations, and then find clues. At the end of the quest, it was Anaïs, 9, Bastien, 9, Nolan, 11, and Fabio, 11, who hit the jackpot. Finally, the treasure. All of them won a €100 “gift certificate” to spend at We Play or SB Électronique. A wonderful adventure comes to an end. For the children, but also for the parents who, every Thursday, pored over the newspaper in search of clues. As for the members of the CTJ’s culture committee, they can take pride in having organized an event whose success already warrants planning a second edition.
Fabio, Anaïs, Bastien et Nolan sont les quatre gagnants de la chasse au trésor du CJT et du JSB.
