Also during last November's Femina Adventure, the Rotary Pipelettes team formed by Axelle and Nanou had the goal, in addition to surviving the grueling Guadeloupe experience, of raising funds to help the Handi-Relais association. In early January, they announced that the total amount of donations collected (notably through an online fund on the Leetchi website, "On se dépasse pour qu'ils se déplacent" [We push ourselves so they can get around]) was approaching €20,000. As a reminder, this fundraiser aims to help the Handi-Relais association purchase a specialized vehicle to transport people with disabilities as well as the island's elderly residents. "We still need a few thousand euros," Les Pipelettes point out on their Facebook page. For those who want to do a good deed at the start of the year, the online fundraiser is still open. 100% of donations will be given to the association.
