Since January 2, the local police have been using an electronic ticketing system to manage violations. As a result, road users will now receive their fines after the fact, by mail or email. At the same time, the local authorities are asking citizens who have changed their postal or email address to update their information with the vehicle registration and license plate department. This is to ensure that fines are received, as they will incur a surcharge if not paid within the legal time limit.
