On Saturday September 27, after being alerted by the Centre régional opérationnel de surveillance et de sauvetage Antilles-Guyane (Crossag), volunteers from the Saint-Barth branch of the Société nationale de sauvetage en mer (SNSM) set sail at around 6:30pm. The aim of the mission was to help a yachtsman whose RIB engine had broken down off Saint-Martin. After an hour's sailing, the boat was found and towed back to its mooring. The three people on board were able to return to shore unharmed. The rescuers then rinsed the SNSM launch, Captain Danet, and put the equipment back in order.
