Saint-Barth - Quete annuelle de la croix rouge

The Red Cross is looking for volunteers for its annual fundraising drive

On Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, volunteers from the French Red Cross’s regional office in Saint-Barthélemy will be out in the community for their annual fundraising drive. “Every donation counts in enabling our teams to provide daily assistance to the most vulnerable people on the island and wherever the need arises,” explains the delegation. But to carry out this campaign, the volunteers will need help. So, they are calling on the island’s children to join them. There’s nothing like innocent little hands to inspire generosity. Because the Red Cross’s annual collection is truly important. As the Saint-Barth delegation emphasizes: “By donating a few euros, you support concrete actions in solidarity, first aid, and emergency response: academic support, day care for vulnerable people (assistance with hygiene, food, clothing, access to rights), activities for our seniors at the nursing home, preparing Christmas gift baskets for the elderly, organizing first-aid training for the general public, and emergency preparedness.”

Furthermore, the collection is also a time for gathering and sharing. Not to mention, even if only indirectly through a donation, a commitment to Saint Barth.
