The April 16 issue of the JSB contains the final riddle in the treasure hunt created by the members of the Youth Territorial Council’s Culture Committee. The quest is open to children on the island up to age 15. The concept is simple: each week, a riddle is hidden within the articles of the JSB issue. Treasure hunters must find and note down underlined words to form a riddle sentence which, once solved, leads to a location on the island where a clue is hidden (which must then be emailed to communication@comstbarth.fr). Each clue discovered (a word) helps form a sentence that, as a new riddle, will lead to the treasure. Last week, the riddle was: “In the salt flats, watch the birds.”
Territorial Councilor and Chair of the Culture Committee, Bettina Cointre, has a message for participants: “Within the pages of this newspaper lies the final riddle of the treasure hunt, ready to reveal the secret of the fifth clue. Once you have gathered all the clues, you must find the location where the treasure is hidden. You’ll need to find a drawing of a chest. If you find this drawing, take it and bring it to the Collectivité, to the Culture and Communication Office, where the real treasure will be given to you in exchange.” Good luck to everyone!
Les élus de la commissions culture du conseil territorial des jeunes lancent, en partenariat avec le Journal de Saint-Barth et avec le concours de leur élue référente Bettina Cointre, une chasse au trésor pour les écoliers et les collégiens.
