Blessing of the animals in the Anglican Church

On Sunday November 16, a special mass for the animals will be held at the Anglican Church, starting at 9:30 am. It will be followed by a blessing of the animals in the garden at 10:30 am.
Four-legged companions accompanied by their owners are invited to receive this blessing and share this moment of fraternity and joy. Philip Trangmar encourages "all pet owners to come along with their pets -dogs must be kept on a leash and cats in baskets; other pets, if any! "
Under the auspices of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, the Blessing of the Animals usually takes place in October, on the feast day of St. Francis. St. Francis believed that all nature was a mirror of God. He called all creatures his "brothers" and "sisters", and even preached to the birds at his hermitage in Assisi. For this reason, St. Francis is often depicted in art with a bird in his hand.
