Air Caraïbes relaunches its direct service between Paris and Sint Maarten

It had been announced, then postponed, before finally seeing the light of day. On December 12, Air Caraïbes relaunched its direct service between Sint Maarten's Princess Juliana airport and Paris-Orly.The event was celebrated at Princess Juliana, with part of the terminal decorated in the airline's colors.
Air Caraïbes offers three direct weekly flights between Paris-Orly and Saint-Martin. They are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Flights depart from Orly at 11:45 a.m., arriving in Juliana at 3:45 p.m., with departure from Sint Maarten at 6:30 p.m. and arrival in Paris at 7:40 a.m. the following day. Services are operated by Airbus A330-200/300. For the time being, Princess Juliana airport is unable to accommodate the new A350 due to its particular geographical position. Air Caraïbes, which intends to deploy the long-haul aircraft on this route in 2027, has confirmed that a problem with the A350's load capacity needs to be resolved.
"By consolidating our Caribbean network, we aim to facilitate inter-island travel and support local economies, while offering more travel options to passengers fromAir Caraïbes already offers long-haul services to Guadeloupe, Martinique and French Guiana, with connections to Saint-Martin Grand Case, Saint-Barthélemy, the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
For the route between Sint Maarten and Paris-Orly, the launch offer is priced from 699 euros return in Soleil class (economy), 999 euros in Caraïbes class (premium) and 1,999 euros in Madras class (business). Fares can be as low as 550 to 600 euros in economy class and in low season. "Saint-Martin is important for our network, so we're bringing in competition, which is good for a market and will bring prices down", said the airline's CEO.clarified the company's CEO, Éric Michel, on December 12 at the press conference following the landing of the first Air Caraïbes aircraft.
