The Collectivité announced on Tuesday October 29 that the Vitet road, closed since July 19 following a landslide, will be partially opened this Friday November1 from 2pm. It is scheduled to be fully opened to traffic next Monday, November 4.
The Collectivité press release:
"Work on the 4 vents barrier is nearing completion. To secure the site, a nailed wall has been installed, comprising 5 to 8 m anchoring nails, welded mesh and shotcrete.
This technical support solution ensures the stability and durability of the structure.
The road will be opened in two stages. Initially, traffic will be partially restored, with a half-lane opening in the Vitet-Lorient direction, from 2pm on Friday November 1. This gradual opening will enable final adjustments to be made, while allowing traffic to flow more smoothly in the area.
Finally, the road will be definitively open to traffic in both directions on Monday November 4, offering users a fully secured and restored access. "
