From Monday, August 12, numerous work zones will be causing disruption to road traffic on Saint-Barthélemy. Starting with Marigot, where a portion of the road will once again be closed to traffic.
On Monday, the Collectivité is informing the population that, as part of the ongoing work to bury networks and repair the pavement on the Marigot road, a section of the road will be closed to traffic in both directions from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. between the junction with Chemin Bagot and rue Courtois.
At the same time, a territorial decree specifies that roadworks on a portion of the route de Carénage, in Saint-Jean, will continue until Sunday August 18 inclusive.
In Lurin, concreting work is scheduled for Tuesday August 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., from the booster pump to the crossroads with the Chemin Fidelin Questel entrance. The road will therefore be closed to traffic in both directions.
Also in Gustavia, from Saturday August 17 to Monday September 30 inclusive, a portion of the Rue de la Paix will be subject to occasional traffic disruption due to a narrowing of the carriageway, which will be carried out on an alternating basis. Parking will be prohibited in the vicinity of the work.
Also in Gustavia, from Monday August 19 to Saturday August 24 inclusive, traffic will be disrupted by an occasional narrowing of the roadway at 10, rue Samuel Fahlberg, and will be alternated by traffic lights. Parking will also be prohibited in the vicinity of the works.
In Saint-Jean, on Monday August 19, from 8 to 11 a.m., work on the telecommunications network (FTTH) will result in a narrowing of the road at the junction with Chemin des Sables and rue du Citron Doux.
On the same Monday, August 19, work on the EDF network in Colombier will disrupt traffic flow by narrowing the roadway near the schools. The work will last until Saturday August 24.
