Work to replace a water pipe in Anse des Cayes

"Emergency" work, according to a Saur press release dated January 9, will be undertaken in early February between the Anse des Cayes grocery store and the Manapany hotel on Chemin fond Baptiste. The work involves installing a new drinking water pipe. This work is essential and a priority, as the pipe in question is in very poor condition, with an imminent risk of major deterioration that could cause significant damage to the network," explains Saur in its press release.
Work will begin in early February 2026 and will cause traffic disruptions in the area for the duration of the project. The work will be carried out by the company ARC. "At this stage, no water cuts are planned," reassures Saur, adding: "However, users will be informed in advance if the situation changes."
