The airport was closed 40 minutes after a flat tire

The runway at Saint-Barthélemy Airport was closed for about 40 minutes on Wednesday, April 22, due to a flat tire on the landing gear of a Piper PA28 aircraft around noon. Three people were on board the aircraft; none were injured. Airport maintenance crews and a fire truck quickly responded at the end of the runway where the small plane had come to a stop. It was towed to a secure area, allowing air traffic to resume.
