Sixteen of the seventeen boats in the race have crossed the finish line and have been moored since Friday, May 9, at the Quai du Général de Gaulle in Gustavia. Charlotte Yven and Hugo Dhalenne won the victory on Skipper Macif, followed by Romain Bouillard and Irina Gracheva on Décrochons la lune and, of course, Cindy Brin and Thomas André on Cap StBarth. But there is still one ship at sea: Women Engineering Society, on which Ellie Driver and Oliver Hill are striving to reach Saint Barthélemy. According to race management, the crew is expected to cross the finish line around midnight this Friday. They will be the last of this 2025 edition to complete the transatlantic race between Concarneau and Saint Barth. All credit goes to those who don't give up, despite the difficulties and disappointments. Hopefully, a small crowd will be present to applaud Ellie and Oliver when they dock. At least they'll benefit from the entertainment in the Finish Village so they don't set foot on land with only the race committee teams present.
Starting at 5:30 pm this Friday, as every day, the Village bar will be open to the public. At that same time, a conference on household recycling will be held at the Paprec Energies stand. At 6:00 pm, the "Green Promises Tree" workshop will be offered to children with VIP Kids.
Finally, at 9:00 pm, Groove Karaïbe will take the stage for a concert. Until the finish of the last team, which, hopefully for the courageous Ellie Driver and Oliver Hill, won't take place in a sad, nocturnal anonymity.
