Transat Paprec – Ellie Driver and Oliver Hill welcomed with jubilation

The final crew of the 2025 edition of the Transat Paprec crossed the finish line yesterday, Friday, May 9, at 11:43 p.m. On Women Engineering Society, Ellie Driver and Oliver Hill arrived 21 hours and 24 minutes after the winners, Charlotte Yven and Hugo Dhalenne on Skipper Macif. Their entry into Gustavia harbor in the middle of the night could have been relatively confidential. It wasn't. The two valiant sailors were greeted with jubilation by the skippers of the sixteen other crews, the public in the Village, and the organizers. And like all those who have achieved the feat—and it always is—of crossing the Atlantic on their Figaro Bénéteau, they didn't shy away from opening bottles of Champagne, climbing onto the podium, and even less from diving into the waters of Gustavia harbor!

This evening, they will participate in the awards ceremony in the Arrival Village, starting at 8 p.m. The bar will have been open since 5:30 p.m., as it is every day. Various activities will also be taking place: a quiz on the theme of waste sorting will be held at the Paprec Energies stand (5:30 p.m.), a "sea totem" workshop for children at 6 p.m., and a Celtic music concert accompanied by traditional dancing by the group Maudit Triskel.

At 9 p.m., after the awards ceremony for the seventeen crews that arrived safely (two were forced to retire before even beginning the Atlantic crossing), NIB will provide musical entertainment in the Village. The race is over, but the Transat and the party continue in the Village until Monday evening.
