The 18th edition of the Transat Paprec will set sail on April 18, 2027, from the port of Concarneau. On Wednesday, July 1, OC Sport Pen Duick published the notice of race detailing the rules for participation. Consequently, registration is now open for the only mixed-gender, double-handed transatlantic race on a level playing field, which will sail to Saint-Barthélemy via a waypoint at La Palma (Canary Islands, Spain).
Nineteen mixed double-handed crews set sail in the Transat Paprec in 2025, compared to 11 in 2023. This increase reflects the growing enthusiasm among sailors—and particularly female sailors—for this demanding transatlantic race.
Charlotte Yven, who won in 2023 with Lois Berrehar and then in 2025 with Hugo Dhallenne—both times on Skipper Macif—is the first female skipper to have her name added to the list of winners in two consecutive editions.
