Hotels: the Michelin Guide awards its Keys

For the second year running, the Michelin Guide has unveiled its list of "Clefs", which are the hotel equivalent of the stars awarded to restaurants. "With 143 three-key hotels, 572 two-key hotels and 1,742 one-key hotels, the inspectors found hotels worthy of these distinctions in all styles of establishments worldwide," writes the Guide on its website. In Saint-Barthélemy, nine establishments were awarded one or more Clefs.
The best-endowed is the Cheval Blanc Isle de France, in Flamands, which is the only one to have been awarded three Clefs. The Barthélemy hotel and spa and the Rosewood le Guanahani were awarded two. The other six hotels were awarded one Clef. They are the Christopher, the Gyp Sea, the Sereno, the Tropical, the Carl Gustaf and the Manapany.
