From February 28 to March 4, the Interleague Nautical Week took place in Schoelcher, Martinique. The competition program included Optimist regattas in which several young sailors from the Saint-Barth Yacht Club took part. In the junior category, Tao Carmona Bouvrais managed to climb to the second step of the podium, while his Saint-Barth comrades Lourenço Rolo Couto Jorge (4th) and Lewis Maxor (5th) also achieved great performances. In the junior category, Saint-Barth did not – almost – make any mistakes. Indeed, Stanley Haes confirmed all the hopes placed in him and won the competition hands down. He beat his SBYC partner, Nathanaël Basset. Only the third step of the podium eluded SBYC. Nevertheless, Leo Favreau and Ethan Blanchet, respectively 4th and 5th, confirm that the young sailors of Saint-Barth have talent and are perfectly well supervised within their club. "A big congratulations to our Optimist sailors", commented the SBYC online, specifying that the performances of its young representatives were achieved "in random wind conditions".
