The three young sailors, boarders of the Pôle espoir de La Rochelle (Lolie Osswald and Jules Fortunati remain members of the Saint-Barth Yacht Club), will be competing on Ilca 6 and Ilca 7. They will be up against the best of the new generation of regatta sailors, as the championship welcomes some 700 participants from mainland France and overseas.

The first regattas get underway this Friday, August 22. Three races are scheduled each day, weather permitting, under the auspices of the French Sailing Federation and the Cercle de voile de Martigues. At the end of the ten days of competition, twelve titles will be awarded.

The opening ceremony with the regatta parade took place this Thursday at 6 p.m. (French time). It featured an enthusiastic Lolie Osswald, riding on the shoulders of one of her partners from the Pôle espoir in La Rochelle.
