Sailing - Young sailors in Martinique

Before participating in Schoelcher's sailing week, an international dinghy sailing regatta in Martinique organized by the Schoelcher sailing club (February 14-17), ten young sailors from the Saint-Barth Yacht Club are training on site with international coach Didier Butault. Six minimes (Stanley Haes, Lourenço Rolo Couto Jorge, Tao Carmona Bouvrais, Léo Favreau, Nathanaël Basset, and Lewis Maxor), two benjamins (Ethan Blanchet and Axel Vanden Eynde), and one poussine (Louisa Vanden Eynde) will compete in Optimist. Maximilian Gréaux will compete in Ilca6.
The goal of this competition for Tao Carmona Bouvrais, Léo Favreau, Nathanaël Basset, and Lewis Maxor is to earn a ticket to the Carantec International Optimist Spring Cup (Finistère - April 2-19, 2026). To date, Stanley Haes and Lourenço Rolo Couto Jorg have qualified for the CIP following their results at the Opti Cup Cap d'Agde at the end of October (JSB1638).
