Organized by St Barth Triathlon, the swimming relay race with an "Australian-style" outing kicks off at 7 a.m. this Sunday, October 26, on Saint-Jean beach. To mark Pink October, the association is teaming up with the Ligue contre le cancer, with €5 donated on each entry to support research.
Teams will be made up of 4 people: a captain (a fast swimmer) will be paired with three team-mates by drawing lots, forming friendly teams. Each swimmer will have to cover 400m in the bay and, after a portion of running, hand over the relay (to be done 2 times). With one objective. To have fun! "To give the best of yourself for your team, in a sporting and family spirit above all", says St Barth Triathlon.
The race is open to members of the Fédération Française de Triathlon and the Fédération Française de Natation. Non-licensed athletes can also register, provided they acquire a FFTRI Competition Pass available from the FFTRI Guadeloupe league (€2).
The first three teams will be rewarded at the end of the event. A friendly breakfast will be offered to competitors and volunteers by the event's partner, the Eden Rock hotel.
Registration is available online, on the SBH Triathlon Facebook page or at https://urlr.me/ubnvGT.
