The start of the second edition of the St Barth Triathlon's Australian-style swim relay race will be given at 7 a.m. on Sunday, October 26. After a swimming sequence, participants in this open-water relay race leave the water for a portion of running before plunging back into the water. "A fun race in the Bay of Saint-Jean", assures SBH Triathlon, whose teams will be made up of 4 people: a captain (a fast swimmer) will be paired with three teammates by drawing lots, forming friendly teams. Each swimmer will have to cover 400m and give the relay (to be done 2 times).
The race is open to members of the Fédération Française de Triathlon and the Fédération Française de Natation. Non-licensed swimmers can also register, provided they acquire a FFTRI Competition Pass, available from the FFTRI Guadeloupe league website at a cost of 2 euros.
The first three teams will be rewarded at the end of the event, with a small lunch offered to competitors and volunteers.offered to competitors and volunteers by the event's partner, the Eden Rock hotel.
On the occasion of Pink October, the annual worldwide communication campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer screening, the St Barth Triathlon Club will donate €5 from each registration to the Ligue contre le cancer.
Registrations are available online, on the SBH Triathlon Facebook page or on the BilletWeb website.
