Backgammon tournament this weekend

The Saint-Barth Échecs association is organizing a backgammon tournament on Sunday June 8, 2025, from 12pm to 5pm in the Salle de la Capitainerie. Serge Belhassen explains how the tournament will be run: "The afternoon will start with a cold buffet at 12 noon, to get to know each other over a plate and a drink, before facing off at 12:45 p.m. in a tournament of elimination matches, with each victory advancing the player up a table to the final.... so that only one remains. The losers enter the consolation draw, which also ends with a final to determine the winner. Please note: the tournament rules may differ from those you're used to. These are explained and sent to those who request them. "Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers and the winner of the consolation round.
