About twenty archers from the club gathered at the Didier Souchoy shooting range in Saint-Jean to take on the challenge of the traditional arrow-shooting test. This event marks a key milestone in the club’s history and in the archers’ development. The principle of this competition is simple yet demanding: alone, facing only themselves and their target, archers must achieve a specific minimum score to validate their level and earn the coveted badge symbolizing their progress in the world of archery. Romain Prosdocimi, president of the Les Flèches de Saint-Barthélemy club, explains: “This is where all the work done since the start of the season must prove its worth.” Despite unpredictable weather conditions, the archers’ determination paid off. It was a fruitful harvest!
The club chose this event to present the awards for the 18-meter regional championship, in which Les Flèches de Saint-Barthélemy once again swept the titles against archers from Guadeloupe and Saint Martin.
The next event for the archers is scheduled for May 2 for the Guadeloupe Archery Schools Competition, followed on May 24 by the regional long-distance championship in Saint Martin.
