After 3 months without competition, the Flèches de Saint-Barthélemy are back on the Didier Souchoy shooting range in Saint-Jean for the selections for the French championships. The 18-meter season kicked off this weekend, with 37 archers registered for the competition organized by the Saint Martin archers. To keep travel costs to a minimum, the competition was held at three venues: Gosier in Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy. 10 archers from Saint-Barthélemy took up the challenge, some of whom had only been practicing for a month, but the results are already in for the Flèches de Saint Barthélemy club. Indeed, they all made it to the podium for this first competition:
- Matheo Sanchot (U11) 1st
- Brianna Alexandre (U15) 1st
- Guylène Bertin (S2) 2nd
- Beatrice Turbé (S2) 3rd
- Myriam Madrènes (S1) 1st
- Aurélie Moral (S1 pulley) 1st
- Christophe Turbe (no sights) 1st
- Romain Prosdocimi (S2) 1st
- Céline Vattier (Promotion) 2nd
- Ronann Querrard (Promotion) 3rd
"This first competition bodes well for the rest of the season and for future archery students, who are still learning every Saturday from 5pm to 7pm," emphasizes president Romain Prosdocimi.
