Saint-Barth - tennis femmes

L’équipe féminine du SBTC et leurs adversaires du Tie-Break de Petit-Bourg (Guadeloupe) posent ensemble après la victoire (3-2) des joueuses de Saint-Barth, le samedi 10 janvier à Saint-Jean.

Tennis - SBTC women's team wins in tiebreak

Once again, in the team matches, the doubles match proved decisive. On Saturday, January 10, on their home courts at the Saint-Jean sports complex, the players of the Saint-Barth Tennis Club managed to defeat their Guadeloupean opponents from the Tie-Break club in Petit-Bourg. But it wasn't easy!
In a second division match of the Guadeloupe team championship, the four singles matches were not enough to separate the two teams. While Perrine Rousson, the team's metronome, won her match, Aïda Giraud and Charlotte Lions, despite putting up a good fight, lost to their opponents. From then on, the SBTC "girls" had to win the last two matches. In the singles, after a very close first set, Maëlle Servanton got the better of her opponent and won, bringing the SBTC back to a tie (two wins each). A decisive doubles match was then required. Julie Hodge and "Pépé" (Perrine Rousson) took on the challenge. Despite a hesitant start, the Saint-Barth players dominated the match and won in two sets (6-4/6-3). It was a great victory for the SBTC women. Their next match will also be at home, on Saturday, January 24.
