In one year, the Saint-Barth Tennis Club will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its Open. This year, for the 19th edition of the tournament, which took place from August 1 to 15, the club once again succeeded in bringing together all the island’s tennis enthusiasts. On and off the courts, the atmosphere was “sporting and friendly,” said SBTC director Yves Lacoste.
As in 2025, Paul Colin claimed victory in the men’s singles. A surprise guest—since he wasn’t originally scheduled to participate in the tournament—he defeated Brice Patoux in the final.
In the women’s division, Audrey Moutama claimed the trophy by defeating Rachelle Girard in the final.
It’s worth noting that both singles champions also added their names to the doubles roll of honor. Partnering with Sasha Fernandez, Paul Colin defeated Arthur Mulero and Guillaume Ruaud. As for Audrey Moutama, who had already won the mixed doubles title in 2024, she claimed the trophy once again. This time, partnering with Aaron Giraud, she defeated Caya Cagan and Frédéric Fibleuil.
In the junior singles, just like last year, Tiago Lédée claimed victory just a few days before his twelfth birthday. He defeated Bourjac Jare in the final.
The Open featured exciting matches ranging from unranked players to the top contenders competing in the various draws. The quarterfinals, in particular, featured superb matches, especially in the men’s division. For club officials, including President Dany Brin, the challenge now is to organize a 20th edition that is just as competitive and spectacular—all while maintaining the event’s friendly atmosphere.
An Open House
This Saturday, September 12, from 3 to 5 p.m., the Saint-Barth Tennis Club will open its doors to the public at the Saint-Jean playground. The event will feature introductory activities, meet-and-greets with coaches, as well as information sessions and registration—particularly for the tennis school.
