Swimrun - The start of the 7th edition on Flamands beach

The seventh SwimRun de Saint-Barth gets underway in the early hours of Sunday April 13. Comprising a total distance of 16.300 kilometers, Swimrun combines swimming and running in pairs (men, women or mixed). It takes place on the island, with five running sections and four swimming sections. The event must be swum and run in pairs no more than 10 metres apart. This year, the start will be on Flamands beach, with a first 400m run on the sand, followed by a swim in Petite Anse. The second section of the 3 km race will take them to Corossol. At the Corossol pontoon, they will jump into the water for the swimming section, which will take them out at the Public slide. This will be followed by the third running section between Public and the landing stage in front of the Hôtel de la Collectivité, a distance of 2.5 kilometers. Then comes the third swimming section, between the Collectivité esplanade and Shell Beach. Back on land for the fourth 2.5-kilometer running section. On to Calvaire, the lighthouse, Col de la Tourmente, arriving at the airport side of Saint-Jean beach for the fourth and final swimming section. Leave the water in front of Nikki Beach to run the final kilometers on a loop in Saint-Jean. Finish in front of Nikki Beach. The awards ceremony (men's, women's and mixed ranking) will follow at around 9:45 a.m.
Pairs meet in Saint-Jean, in front of Nikki Beach, at 4:45 am. After checking their equipment, they will be transported to the start line in Flamands.
