Since Wednesday, the Abanca Galicia Pro, part of the international Qualifying Series, has been taking place in Pantìn, Spain. Three representatives from Saint-Barthélemy are taking part: Anaïs Blanchard, who is still in the running but will compete in her second series tomorrow, Saturday August 30, and the Lédée brothers, Noé and Thomas.
After a fine start, with Noé qualifying in his first two heats and Thomas in his first, the two surfers from Ajoe Reefer Surf Club were eliminated on Friday. Noé came third in his heat (only the first two places qualify) and Thomas finished fourth in his heat.
Due to poor weather conditions, Anaïs Blanchard will not compete in her second heat until tomorrow, Saturday. A great opportunity for the former captain of the French junior team to continue her apprenticeship in her first season on the professional circuit.
