Riding the waves at Gros Sable Beach in Sainte-Anne, Guadeloupe, the young members of the Reefer Surf Club de l’Ajoe surfed like champions during the tenth edition of the Timoun Tour on Sunday, May 24. Three young reefers stood out in particular, winning the competition in their age groups. They are Nour Ouvré and Paco Imrie in the under-eight category, as well as Kezia Tayale in the youngest age group. And let’s not forget Marcel Mozer, who, in his very first competition, took the win in the “tou piti” category for the under-7s.
In the under-8s, Gabin Mozer, who had finished 4th in 2025, did not make it past the first round. “A little stressed out for this competition,” noted the Reefer coaches. On the girls’ side, also in the under-8 division, June Marmignon and Giulia Mercier were eliminated in the repechage. “We completely disagreed with the judging regarding June,” the coaches commented. “In our opinion, she should have made it to the final.”
In the under-12 division, Adrian was eliminated in the first round after battling “weak waves.” As for Rahan Bosc from Badereau, he was eliminated in the semifinals.
As a gateway to competitive surfing, the Timoun Tour has become a must-attend event for young surfers in the Caribbean. A premier competition whose success is not measured solely by the number of participants or the recorded results but, as the organizers point out, “in the smiles, the memories created, the passions discovered, and the children who, year after year, fall in love with the ocean.”
