Saint-Barth -

Surf / Maider Arosteguy (Biarritz) - Kalani Giraud commence fort !

This Sunday, April 20, following the fine performances of Louka Giraud (finalist and4th) and Preston Gréaux (semi-finalist) in the minime category, the other three Saint-Barthélemy representatives enter the competition at the Maider Arosteguy, in Biarritz. For this 39th edition of Europe's oldest competition, Anaïs Blanchard (Open), Célia Magras and Kalani Giraud (junior and Open) will be battling it out on the Basque waves to try and get through their respective tables.

For Kalani Giraud, the day got off to a flying start. Winner of his first Open heat, the Biarritz-based local also qualified in the junior heat. Unfortunately, Célia Magras didn't fare as well, failing by a whisker in her first Open series to finish third behind Elena Berot.

Finally, Anaïs Blanchard, automatically qualified for the second round, will make her debut later this morning.
