After a fine start to their respective series at the Lacanau Pro (July 7-13) in Gironde, France, Tessa Thyssen and Anaïs Blanchard were eliminated in the last 16 of the international competition. For the former, who has been struggling to find her rhythm since the start of the season, this result is unlikely to reassure her before flying off to the legendary site of Huntington Beach, California, where the third leg of the Challenger Series will take place from July 29 to August 3. From June 2 to 8, at the circuit's first competition in Newcastle, Australia, Tessa Thyssen finished in 25th place. From June 30 to July 6, South Africa and the Ballito Pro hosted the second round of the Challenger Series. Once again, the Ajoe Reefer Surf Club member was eliminated prematurely, finishing 26th in the rankings. However, the Caribbean's top surfer remains determined to achieve her goal for the season: to better her 13th-place finish in last year's Challenger Series.
For Anaïs Blanchard, making her debut on the adult circuit this year, the setback is less stinging. The young champion, former captain of the French junior team, is still learning the ropes at the very highest level.

On the boys' side, the Lédée brothers, Noé and Thomas, were no more successful. Noé won his first series, but was eliminated in the process. As for Thomas, he was eliminated in his first round, in the round of 32.
