In the Elite category, François Doré finished a fine 6th place at the 43rd edition of the Bérubé GM Indoor Motocross in Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, Canada.
After a podium finish at the Challenge International de Guadeloupe last month, François Doré entered the famous Bérubé GM indoor motocross competition for 250cc and 450cc riders last week. The Rivière-du-Loup field hockey arena was filled with dirt to transform it into a supercross circuit, guaranteeing the participants some great bumps.
After 2 days of testing, François Doré came out 1st in his series, before moving on to the semi-finals and the final, where he was up against 12 of the best professional bikers from North America and beyond. In the end, he came in a very respectable 6th place. "It was a hectic competition for me. After the heats, to be able to compete in the final, I had to go through the repechage stage because during the race, a crash in front of me caused me to lose time in the semi-final. In the end, the final went well, with only pro riders finishing ahead of me.re, Charles Lefrançois, who won this supercross, especially as there weren't many French riders on the start line. "Saint Barth had not officially competed in supercross since the 2021 Paris U Defense Arena. So, 4 years on, finishing 6th in a rather tough competition is very encouraging. "It's been a long time since I've competed in supercross, and it's always a very physical discipline, with a continuous series of bumps, so you have to be well prepared. It was a bit weird to get that feeling again, but it was fun to do, and I think it worked, beyond the results, because I've been asked to take part in other events in Canada in the near future, but it'll be in motocross, so that's good too! "François Doré, the 2022 French Motocross Champion, remains one of the leading specialists in his discipline.
