The Saint-Barth Natation club welcomed its counterpart from Saint-Martin, Tous à l'ô, to the Saint-Jean territorial pool on Sunday for a "super animated competition", as Théo Estasse described it. In a great atmosphere, some sixty swimmers, both children and adults, took part in two races: a 10x25-meter relay and an elimination race known as the Australian style.
Théo Estasse sums up the day: "It was a great day and the kids were really happy. It's great to have this little dynamic. In the future, we'll have to go to Saint-Martin to continue this "Northern Islands" dynamic. So that we can move around regularly between events at sea and purely pool-based competitions for youngsters and adults. "Results: No rankings, but "all the children received a medal and everyone was rewarded. I haven't made any rankings for each race, as it's still too early," Théo Estasse points out.
The club now has around 30 adults who come to train at the Saint-Jean pool.
