Last Saturday’s victory by neighboring Archiball of Saint Martin over league leaders Good Luck (28–27) dropped the Saint Barth Barracudas to fourth place—the final qualifying spot for the end-of-season playoffs. Knocked off the podium by a single point to the Saint-Martinois, the Saint-Barths are on a mission to rack up points against Bruc, whom they will face Saturday evening at 7 p.m. at the Saint-Jean stadium. In reality, a win with an offensive bonus point would allow Romain Viriato’s players to reclaim third place in the standings, a more comfortable position from which to manage the end of the season. As for the matchup itself, it’s worth noting that the Barras were soundly defeated on Abymian soil in their first outing of 2026, 55–0. The Sky Blues will therefore be looking to avenge the first-leg defeat by drawing inspiration from their major victory in the Northern Islands derby, a 50-0 win over the Saint-Martinois, secured on January 31. A win this Saturday would be welcome ahead of the return leg of the Northern Islands Derby, a week later, on the neighboring “rock,” which will be decisive for the Barracudas’ final standings at the end of the regular season.
