First day of Guadeloupe Cup for Les Rascasses

This Saturday, starting at 2 p.m. at the Bellevue stadium in Saint Martin, the first day of the women's rugby 7s cup will be played. For the occasion, four teams will challenge each other to come out with the best ranking at the end of this first day. In the running, the Archigirls of Saint Martin who are hosting at home, the Rascasses of Saint Barthélemy, but also the champions of Guadeloupe, the Good Luck of Gosier as well as the players of Bruc des Abymes. Unlike the 10-a-side championship which will start later in the season, the Rascasses of Saint Barth and the Archigirls of Saint Martin will not play together for this Guadeloupe rugby 7s cup. 7. "The players from both clubs want to wear the jerseys of their respective teams... as long as the numbers allow it, it's a good thing, it boosts the club spirit," emphasizes coach Fabien Maurel. ", adds Fabien, who is also the manager of the women's team of the Northern Islands. If the Saint Barth rugbywomen are not the favorites, and they will have to do without the athletic Elise Howard, still convalescing, they remain ready for Saturday. " They have been training for 2 months, of course, they are eager to play matches and fight on the pitch... This first day should allow us to apply what we have worked on since the start of the school year, to training", recalls Fabien Maurel. Hostilities begin on the Bellevue stadium therefore, this Saturday, from 2 p.m. with six matches on the program: Archigirl / Rascasse; Goodluck / Bruc; Rascasses / Bruc; Archigirl / Goodluck; Goodluck / Rascasses; Archigirl / Bruc.
