Twelve members of St Barth Pétanque, the new pétanque club created last February, took part in the 5th International Open "Viva Las Vegas" in Las Vegas (USA). After a series of 4 games, all the pairs were divided into 3 groups. The Saint Barth players didn't make the trip for nothing, as of the 5 finals, 4 were won by Saint-Barths
The Gregory Chapuis - Daniel Magras pairing won the Group B final. Group C was won by Raphaël Menut playing with American Diane Caliva.
In duet with American Tish Harris, Jocelyn Gumbs wins the Group A Prime final, and Eric Munoz in duet with Philippe Bertin wins the Group BB final.
The final words go to Laurent Bisbau: "It's an immense source of pride for all the members, who humbly but proudly carried the values and colors of the club and those of Saint-Barthélemy. Over and above these exceptional results, the trip was above all a wonderful opportunity to meet, share and enjoy each other's company. The players returned enriched by this unique experience, more motivated than ever to resume training and continue to progress. "
If you would like to join the members of St Barth Pétanque, don't hesitate to join them every Tuesday and Friday from 5 p.m. onwards, at the Gambier boulodrome on the Plaine des Jeux in Saint-Jean.
