On August 28 and 29, the town of Saint-Florentin (Burgundy – Franche-Comté) will host the French Petanque Championships. Two representatives from the Amicale Bouliste de Saint-Barthélemy will be participating in the competition. Tony Gomez and Hassan Bouazzaoui qualified during a qualifying competition for the French senior doubles championship organized in early February by the Cariboule de Saint-Martin. This is a double victory for the Saint-Barth duo, as they had already secured their ticket to the national championship in 2025.
It should be noted that during the competition held in Saint-Martin, all six teams from the Amicale Bouliste de Saint-Barth made it to the round of 16. Romain Guigou and Jean-Roger Helly pushed on to the quarterfinals before losing. No fewer than 32 teams competed in the qualifying tournament.
The qualifying competition for the French triplette championship will take place on Saturday, February 28, in Saint-Martin.
Hassan Bouazzaoui et Tony Gomez vont représenter Saint-Barth et l’ABSB au championnat de France de doublette pour la deuxième année consécutive.
