On Saturday, February 7, the Saint-Barthélemy Boules Club organized its Valentine's Day competition. This friendly, family-oriented tournament brought together 21 teams for a mixed doubles competition involving both adults and children. In the end, Laura (the club's youngest member) and Raphaël Menut (a coach at the pétanque school) emerged victorious, beating Éric and Josette in the final. "A huge thank you to all the teams who took part in this competition," said the club. "Thank you for the great games and the warm atmosphere that made this event a real moment of sharing and good cheer." The sponsors, partners, and of course the volunteers also received thanks for their involvement. Not to mention the "outstanding gardener," Jérôme Allegre, for maintaining the grounds of the Gambier boules court on the Saint-Jean playing field. The next Amical Bouliste pétanque tournament will take place on Saturday, February 21, with a carnival triplet competition, which is once again open to everyone.
