Noé Lédée Reaches a Milestone

The surfer from the Ajoe Reefer Surf Club posted the best performance of his career by finishing second at the 2026 Caraïbos Lacanau Pro.

A promising start to the season. Surfer Noé Lédée took second place at the 2026 Caraïbos Lacanau Pro on Saturday, July 11. The young surfer from Saint Barth approached this first stop on the European tour with “drive and ambition” after weeks of training in Brazil. The small waves during the competition were not “easy to handle” for the 23-year-old athlete. He therefore opted for tactics over technique.

While the competition’s favorites gradually fell in the early rounds, Noé held on until the final stages on Saturday, July 11. He ultimately lost to the German-Basque surfer Hans Odriozola, but with this second-place finish, he achieved the best performance of his career, as well as the top French result in the competition. “Finishing this first leg with a QS final is incredibly satisfying,” said Noé Lédée. “It’s a first for me, and experiencing this moment surrounded by my family made it even more special.” The surfer hasn’t forgotten the island he always represents with pride: “Wearing its colors on the international circuit is a real source of motivation.”

For the surfer, resting on his laurels is out of the question—the season has only just begun. Noé is heading back to training for three weeks before flying to England for another competition. The athlete has a clear goal: to break into the Top 7 by the end of the year to secure his qualification for the Challenger Series and join the world’s Top 80.
