The Pétanque Grand Prix Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary

On Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24, the Amicale Bouliste de Saint-Barthélemy (ABSB) is organizing the tenth edition of its pétanque grand prix. For this event, which will take the form of an official doubles competition, the ABSB will welcome two champions of the sport—Sandrine Poinsot and Philippe Suchaud—to the courts at the Saint-Jean playground. In addition, international referee Patrick Grignon will ensure the competition runs smoothly.
Although registration closed on October 4, pétanque enthusiasts are welcome to come watch the action at the Gambier boulodrome. A food court will be available to participants and visitors throughout the event.
One important detail: 5,000 euros in prize money will be awarded at the end of the competition. These prizes are made possible thanks to the Grand Prix’s partners and sponsors.
On Friday, October 23, the first shots are scheduled for 5:00 p.m. to kick off the Grand Prix. On Saturday, October 24, the competition will resume at 4:00 p.m. and continue through the final.
Please note that the Grand Prix for licensed youth will take place on Wednesday, October 28.
