The 2025 edition of the Gustavialoppet, the traditional 10-kilometer "Race des As" organized by Asbas and the Collectivité, is scheduled for Sunday November 9. That leaves just over 10 days to train. Why not on the course between the Saint-Jean stadium and the Wall House forecourt in Gustavia?
The records to beat are 32 minutes and 38 seconds - set in 2021 by Guadeloupean Michel Pradel - and 35 minutes and 19 seconds for the girls - set in 2023 by Cé?cilia Mobuchon.
Sunday November 9 also features a 5km acclimatization run and an 8km Walk for All. The prize-giving ceremony will take place when all runners have crossed the finish line in front of the Wall House at around 9am. A shuttle service will be organized by the Collectivité from 8.30am to 10am to enable participants to return to their vehicles left at Saint-Jean.
Registrations for the Ace Race (10km) and the Acclimatization Race (5km) can be made electronically via the Sport Timing Caraïbes website (sport-timing-caraibes.com) until 12 noon on November 8, 2025. Race numbers will be issued the day before, on Saturday November 8, at the Pasta Party.
While registrations for the walk (5 euros including race number and post-race snack) can be made at the Maison des associations (cash and cheques) quai Rockefeller in Gustavia, on Friday October 31 and Wednesday November 5 between 8.30am and 12pm and 1.30pm and 5pm.
Please note that runners must provide a medical certificate valid for less than a year stating that they have no contraindications to competitive running. Alternatively, they can present a license from the Fédération Française d'Athlétisme (FFA) or, as an alternative, the PPS (Parcours de Prévention Santé), a four-step tool designed to raise awareness of the risks, precautions and recommendations relating to runners' health. The process is simple and free online (https://pps.athle.fr/). At the end of the process, you will be able to download a certificate to be submitted on the site when you register. The registration fee is 20 euros for runners taking part in the 5km and 10km races (including race number, Saturday evening Pasta Party and post-race snack). The minimum age requirement is 18 for the 10km. And 14 for the 5km. No registration will be accepted on race day.
