The atmosphere in the stands of the Saint-Jean stadium was supercharged throughout the evening of Saturday March 22. For the second year running, the Ajoe soccer school organized the inter-hotel tournament. Seventeen teams from eleven of the island's establishments took part, with the Eden Rock team coming out on top. Hundreds of enthusiastic spectators were on hand to support the players. In the stands, by the pitch, but also at the refreshment bar run by Ajoe volunteers. While the event was both sporting and festive, its main purpose was to raise funds. These were intended to finance part of the organization of the Saint-Barth Foot Challenge. This is the most important event of the year for the Ajoe soccer school. Every year, teams from France, Portugal and the surrounding islands (Saint-Martin, Sint Maarten, the Virgin Islands, Guadeloupe, etc.) take part in this international tournament for under-thirteen-year-olds. The direct or indirect participation of the island's establishments and companies, as in the case of the inter-hotel tournament, is particularly decisive. It goes without saying that inviting entire teams to Saint-Barthélemy is very expensive. One thing is certain: the participants in the second edition of the inter-hotel tournament gave their all. On and off the pitch. In good spirits, but also in the competitive spirit of the half-court matches. With music, thanks to the participation of local DJs.
